How to create a new Custom Tap Handle

If you are a new or existing brewery, winery, coffee roaster, or distillery, and have never produced a custom tap handle, here are a few tips that will help explain the process.

The first step is for us to have a simple conversation to discuss the history of your brewery and the vision of what you want out of your tap handle.

The next step is to get your high res artwork along with your bottle/can designs and photos of your brewery. As much direction and information as possible will allow us to fully understand the elements of the brewery, materials, and colors to use in the design we create for you. Your website, Instagram, Facebook page and/or other social media accounts are also a good source for inspiration.

Our designers will then work on a beautiful 3D rendering that looks very realistic. Our design can take from a couple of days to a week, and will show materials, size, area for interchangeable graphics, and any other important details.

After the design is approved, we then proceed with a prototype that will be exactly what you will receive in production. This is not a 3D model. We make a silicone mold with milled metal pieces, make labels, and it is then hand painted. The prototype production takes approximately 6 weeks.

Once the prototype is approved, full production take approximately 60-90 days. Our minimum quantity is 100 and we can ship smaller quantities via FedEx. With larger quantities, we ship via ocean which is approximately 3 weeks to the port. For more information on custom tap handles check out our FAQ.
